Naruto had to take a quick bathroom break and when he returned Sasuke realized that the it actually wasn't Naruto, it was an imposter from the Hidden Rain Village! The following images concern Team 7's first battle against a rival ninja in the Forest of Death.
Sasuke catches Oboro(imposter) off guard and stabs him with a kunai. The blood on Sasuke's face and on Oboro's body were edited out.

As Oboro escapes, the blood trail he left behind was edited out.

Reliefed that Oboro left, Sasuke begins to plan how they will distinguish each other from future surprise attacks.

Right after fighting Oboro, a ninja from the Hidden Grass Village appears and puts Sakura and Sasuke into a powerful genjutsu.
The following images are related to Sasuke and Sakura's attempt to escape from the genjutsu.
Clip: The original genjutsu was very violent in the japanese version so many edits were done for it to be suitable in the english version. All the blood was removed from the scene, along with the background color changing to green. Lastly the kunais that hit both Sakura and Sasuke
in the head were removed.
Sasuke desperately tries to stand up after experiencing a genjutsu that has frozen him and Sakura in fear. The blood on his leg was removed.
The grass ninja prepares to finish them off and throws two kunai in their direction. Before we see Sasuke and Sakura get hit blood spurts upward. This blood was edited out of the english version.
This image refers to when Naruto was trapped inside the snake's body. The rest pertain to Sasuke and Sakura.
Trapped inside the snake's body, Naruto thinks this is the end for him. His last thoughts are of everyone who was close to him in his life.
Naruto's memory about Sasuke was when they kissed on the lips by accident . Again, this kiss was edited out of the english version.
The scene switches back to where Sasuke and Sakura were before the kunai were thrown. In the english version the pool of blood on the ground was reduced in size.
Thankfully, Sasuke and Sakura managed to escape somehow.
All that was left of them was a pool of blood. The pool of blood was reduced in size again.

Scene Removal: During a flashback of how Sasuke escaped from the grass ninja, Sasuke stabbed his own leg to erase the feeling of fear that clouded his mind.
Having a second to rest, Sasuke pulls out the kunai from his leg. The splattered blood was removed in the english version.
Another scene of the splattered blood. The blood was removed again.
Sasuke shaken up from the previous incidents, doesn't even realize that a giant snake was about to eat both him and Sakura! He quickly takes it out by throwing ninja stars into its mouth. The dead snake bleed in the japanese version.
The snake's skin begins to crack open and out of it comes the grass ninja! The snake's blood was removed from the english version again.
