Naruto Episode #3 - Sasuke and Sakura: Friends or Foes? Naruto walks over to his calendar sleepily; it is the 15th, which is Orientation Day at the Academy. Naruto quickly gulps down some milk straight from the carton and straps his goggles on. He gazes down upon his forehead protector, remembering he is a genin, he dons the protector and heads out. Naruto encounters Konohomaru on the way, who is hiding behind a camouflaged piece of cloth. Konohomaru challenges Naruto to a fight, but is turned down when Naruto explains that he becomes a full-fledged ninja today. Sakura, like Naruto, is preparing for Orientation at the Academy. As Sakura is walking, contemplating her new ninja rank, she finds another female genin. The two begin walking together, progressively walking faster. The female ninja is Ino, Sakura’s longtime rival, and the two eventually begin racing to the Academy. As a few fellow genin are commenting on Naruto being there, Sakura and Ino abruptly enter through the classroom door. The two argue over who entered the classroom first, but the quarrel soon ends when Sakura sees another ninja, Sasuke. All of the female ninja begin arguing over who sits next to Sasuke, who just finds the fiasco annoying. Sasuke is revealed as the only survivor of his clan, the Uchiha. Naruto angrily jumps right into Sasuke’s face, who is receiving all of the attention. A rivalry between the two is obvious, and all of the girls start screaming for Naruto to move. A shinobi from behind accidentally bumps Naruto, and the two kiss. The two are disgusted, as are all of the female ninja, who all join forces to beat up Naruto. Iruka-sensei explains to the class that they are low ranked ninja, and will be placed in groups of 3 with a high ranked Jounin as their sensei. Iruka begins naming the groups. Group 7 consists of Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. Iruka then proceeds to state the rest of the groups. Sakura is looking for Sasuke because she wishes to eat lunch with him. Naruto asks Sakura if she’d like to eat lunch with him, and she cruelly rejects him and continues on her pursuit. Naruto begins moping around, upset by Sakura’s remarks. Naruto finds Sasuke eating and begins grinning. Ino begins barking orders at her two teammates in Group 8, a chubby ninja, Chouji, and a very stoic ninja, Shikamaru. Their meeting is interrupted when they see Naruto sneaking up behind Sasuke. Naruto dives into the window Sasuke is nearby, and the window closes. Ino, Chouji, and Shimaru can only listen to Sasuke and Naruto fight. Sasuke is shown as the victor, and Group 8 isn’t very surprised. Sakura is eating alone, and finds that Sasuke is actually in front of her. Sakura is beginning to have silly daydreams about Sasuke kissing her large forehead. To her surprise, Sasuke asks if he can kiss Sakura’s forehead! Sakura is extremely excited, but than Sasuke tells her that that would be something Naruto would say. Sakura tells Sasuke that Naruto is annoying, and all she wishes for is to be acknowledged by Sasuke. Sakura leans over to give the shaken Sasuke a kiss. Meanwhile, inside the room where Naruto and Sasuke fought, Sasuke is tied up! Sasuke had underestimated Naruto, and Naruto had cleverly used his Bunshin no jutsu to defeat Sasuke. Sakura is extremely close to kissing Sasuke, but it is in fact Naruto, using a transform technique. They are about to kiss and Naruto is shot with a pain in his stomach. He runs to the bathroom, as he is about to have diarrhea! While on the toilet, Naruto decides he will act as Sasuke again, but annoy Sakura, so she will begin to dislike him. The actual Sasuke walks by Sakura, and she comments on how they almost kissed. Sasuke asks where Naruto is, and Sakura begins on a rant about Naruto’s annoying ways, and how it is most likely because he grew up without parents. Sasuke is immediately fuming mad. Sakura says Naruto is lucky to be growing up alone, because he can misbehave whenever he wants. Sasuke subtly tells Sakura that she is annoying, and she wouldn’t know the first thing about being alone. Sakura cannot believe what she had just heard. Naruto runs out of the bathroom and finds Sasuke waiting for him. Naruto is amazed that Sasuke was able to escape, and Sasuke tells him it was simple. Naruto immediately uses Kage Bunshin no jutsu and attacks Sasuke. Right before Naruto is able to strike, the same pain in his stomach returns. All of the clones hold their stomachs and jet towards the bathroom. Sasuke watches the clones argue over who gets into the bathroom first, and just walks away. Sakura starts to understand Naruto, and decides she will be a little nicer towards him. At that moment, Naruto appears and Sakura realizes this is her chance. When she asks Naruto to walk back to the classroom with her, Naruto thinks that Sasuke transformed into Sakura to trick him. Naruto is about to attack Sakura, and then feels the pain in his stomach again. As Sakura watches Naruto run to the bathroom, she is angry for even trying to be nice to him. Lord Hokage and a Jounin are in Naruto’s room. The Hokage explains to the Jounin that he will be the sensei to Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. The Jounin picks up the carton of milk on Naruto’s table, and reads the label. The milk had spoiled awhile ago, and anyone who drinks it will get a very upset stomach. Next Episode! Pass or Fail: Survival Test This isn't the Kakash-sensei we met yesterday. He couldn't be the same teacher I tricked so easily. The one who came late to class...ah, no way! I'm not giving up no matter what he throws at me! A super-tough test where we have to defeat the Sensei to pass? I'll do it! Nothing can make me go back now. Believe it!
