Naruto Episode #9 - Kakashi: Sharingan Warrior! As Zabuza stomps on a defenseless Sasuke's chest, Naruto performs his Shadow Clone Jutsu. Zabuza seems quite impressed with the young Genin for creating so many clones. Every single clone readies their kunai and dives onto Zabuza. All of the clones are easily repelled and destroyed by the mist ninja with one swift blow from his sword. As Naruto and the rest of his clones are forced backwards, Naruto tosses a demon wind shuriken towards Sasuke, which causes Sasuke to realize their plan. Sasuke whirls the oversizes shuriken through the air, and it passes right by the water clone, heading straight for Zabuza. Though the plan is smart, the shuriken is easily caught by Zabuza. What he doesn't realize though is that there is a second shuriken in the shadow of the first, the Shadow Shuriken Jutsu. Zabuza, with his other hand still maintaining the water prison, can not catch this one, but he easily dodges it. As he jumps over the second shuriken, Sasuke faintly smiles. As the shuriken whizzes by, it disappears in a cloud of smoke to reveal Naruto. The second shuriken wasn't a weapon at all, but only Naruto using a transformation. Naruto, still in mid-air, tosses a kunai straight at Zabuza, who is in a state of disbelief. Due to the kunai aimed right for him, Zabuza is forced to pull his arm out from within the prison, releasing Kakashi. A flustered Zabuza is prepared to throw the same demon wind shuriken he caught from before straight at an airborn Naruto. Before he can toss it at the young Genin, a soaking wet Kakashi grasps the demon wind shuriken and Naruto drops into the water. Kakashi angrily stares Zabuza, drawing him back somewhat. Once Naruto had returned to the surface, Kakashi gave him some positive feedback on his plan and his growth as a ninja. Naruto responds as if it was nothing major. Naruto had merely created the shadow clones as a distraction, while he transformed one of them into the large shuriken. When Naruto threw the weapon to Sasuke, it looked like a real one, even though he immediately noticed that it was Naruto. When he caught it, he immediately spun around so he could pull out his own shuriken. Naruto had hid in the shadow of the shuriken so he could cause Zabuza to let go of the prison, as he definitely couldn't defeat the Jonin. Zabuza makes an excuse that he was distracted, but Kakashi tells him he was forced to let go of the prison. Sasuke and Sakura return to defensive position around Tazuna, as Kakashi and Zabuza will resume their fight. Zabuza hammers the demon wind shuriken into Kakashi's hand, which is now slightly bleeding, but Kakashi knocks it away. The two both jump back and Zabuza begins a long, complicated series of hand seals. Kakashi picks up on this with the Sharingan and proceeds to copy every single hand seal Zabuza is using, even at the same time. Once the necessary hand seals are completed, two large dragons rise from the depths of the water, Zabuza had used the Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu, and Kakashi easily copied it. The two liquid dragons begin battling it out as a downpour of water begins flowing out from all sides. Sasuke can't believe Kakashi's great skill, easily mirroring Zabuza's complicated string of hand seals. Kakashi and Zabuza are now in a deadlock under the dragons. Kakashi's kunai against Zabuza's large sword. Zabuza begins pondering why Kakashi's Sharingan comprehended his jutsu and replicated it so the two attacks occurred simultaneously. As the two continue to battle it out, a mysterious figure watches on from a tree branch. The deadlock is coming to an end, and Zabuza looks completely puzzled. Once the two ninja's weapons cease their clashing, Zabuza immediately runs in a circular motion, with Kakashi mimicking his exact movements. Zabuza comes to a stop and lifts his arm up to begin performing a jutsu, and once again, Kakashi copies the exact motion at the same time, which frustrates the mist ninja. Zabuza begins a sentence stating "It's as if he knows what I'm going to do..." and Kakashi completes it saying "...next". A flustered Zabuza can't believe that Kakashi is reading his mind, continually copying his exact movements simultaneously with the creepy eye. Zabuza yells at Kakashi for copying him like a monkey, and tells him, "You can't beat me with cheap tricks, I'll crush you!" But like always, Kakashi states the same exact sentence at the same exact time. A frustrated Zabuza begins performing hand seals frantically, but comes to a stop when he sees an illusion of himself next to Kakashi. He doesn't know if Kakashi's using jutsu, or playing tricks on him. While in this state of shock, Kakashi finished the jutsu Zabuza was to use, the Water Vortex Jutsu. Zabuza can't believe it as a whirlwind of water begins forming around Kakashi. The massive spiral of water is shot at the Demon of the Hidden Mist and he is carried away by the current. While underwater, Zabuza doesn't understand how Kakashi finished his jutsu, as he was just about to create a Water Vortex. It's like he's reading his mind. The strong flow of water begins destroying trees and a helpless Naruto grabs onto a nearby branch. The mysterious figure from before disappears in the fierce winds. The current carries Zabuza towards a large tree, where he rests for a moment until four kunai pierce both his arms and legs. Kakashi leaps onto a branch of the tree and tells Zabuza that he's finished. Once the water passes, Zabuza asks Kakashi if he can see into the future. Kakashi tells him he can, and he predicts that that was his last battle ever. Before Kakashi can finish him, a pair of needles soar through the air and Zabuza is heard gagging. Everyone is shocked to see Zabuza, with two needles in his neck, fall by the hands of the mysterious figure from before. The strange ninja wearing an odd mask tells Kakashi that he was right, it was Zabuza's last battle. Naruto crawls out of the water and is angered by the death of their adversary, Zabuza. With everyone watching on, Kakashi takes Zabuza's pulse and confirms his death. The masked ninja thanks Kakashi for his help, as he'd been tracking Zabuza for a long time, waiting to take him down. Kakashi knows from the ninja's mask that he's a tracker from the Village Hidden in the Mist. The masked ninja compliments Kakashi on his vast knowledge. Naruto jumps in and is ready to attack the tracker, as he thinks it's an enemy. Sakura tells him that he missed the day of class when they explained what trackers were. When rogue ninja escape from their village, knowing secrets that they shouldn't, trackers are hired to eliminate the rogues so the village's secrets remain secrets. The masked ninja tells Sakura she's correct as he's a member from the elite tracking squad of the Village Hidden in the Mist. Kakashi begins thinking to himself. Judging from the masked ninja's voice and size, he's most likely the same age as Naruto, yet he's an elite assassin. Kakashi realizes that this boy is no ordinary ninja. Naruto quickly approaches the masked boy and is obviously having some sort of self-conflict. He repeatedly stares at the deceased Zabuza's pale face, and begins growling at the young assassin. Naruto yells at the boy, who does not reply. Kakashi tells him to calm down, as the masked ninja is not their enemy. Naruto knows, but he's flustered that the boy of around his age took down the monstrous, powerful Zabuza with one move. Naruto doesn't know how to accept that, but Kakashi tells him that it already happened. There are kids in their world who are younger than Naruto, but stronger than him. The young tracker appears by Zabuza's body and tells them that their struggle is over. He must deal with the remains and make sure the secrets of Zabuza's body do not fall in the wrong hands. The tracker bids them farewell and disappers. Naruto, still flustered, runs over to where the boy was. After adjusting his headband back over his left eye, Kakashi tells Naruto that the boy is gone, and they must move on. Naruto begins pounding his fists into the ground as he tells himself how insignificant his skills are. Kakashi grabs him boy the forearm and tells him that things they see as ninja are not always easy to deal with. He should save his anger for the next enemy. Kakashi tells them that their mission is still incomplete since the bridge builder isn't at his bridge. Tazuna apologizes for causing them so much trouble, and offers them a place to sleep at his house in the village. Kakashi tells them to move out, but after taking two steps he pauses. The Jonin-Sensei drops to the ground, laying their unconscious. Naruto screams for him to get up, but the skilled ninja is motionless. Next Episode! The Forest of Chakra Ahh...whadda we do, whadda we do?! Kakashi-sensei is out cold and Gato's men are sure to come looking for us. How are we gonna fight them by ourselves? We've gotta train, to get stronger! How's climbing trees gonna help us? Well, if Kakashi-sensei says it'll work...Next time: The Forest of Chakra. I'll be kicking butt again.
